Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is an annual offering collected by believers around the world to support international missions. The offering was officially named in 1918 by Woman’s Missionary Union in honor of the missionary to China who urged churches to start it and give sacrificially.
This offering is unique from other mission offerings in that 100% of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world. It is a valuable part of Southern Baptists’ 175-year history of reaching the nations with the gospel and vital to reaching the vision of a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 7:9).
Surely there can be no greater joy than that of saving souls. – Lottie Moon

Big Day of Serving
Working as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ
The Big Day of Service is a culmination of coordination, bringing the community together to help homeowners.
We partner with the Jackson County Ministerial Alliance to bring together a diverse group of people to help homeowners in the city of Altus, OK. The church is not just the building we worship in but it is the people who come together and show the grace of God to others.
19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”- Matthew 18:19-20

The Lord's Supper
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, and said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.- 1 Corinthians 11:23-25

State Missions Offering
In Oklahoma, we see lostness and brokenness all around us. We see the same around the world, with countless people who have never heard the Good News of Jesus. The world’s greatest problem is lostness. The challenge to advance the gospel in our state and world today can seem like an insurmountable task that could leave a lone individual or a single church feeling overwhelmed. Thankfully, Oklahoma Baptists believe that we can do more for the Kingdom of God together than we can apart. Advancing the gospel and fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 20-28:19) is the major reason Baptists historically agreed to cooperatively work and give together in the first place and is still the major reason why we partner together today.
For the whole month of September Martha Road Baptist Church will be participating by picking up a love offering that will go directly the International Mission Board to reach the lost for Jesus.

Grief Share
Grief Share Provides Help and Encouragement for People Who Are Grieving
Of all the difficult things life throws at people, the death of a loved one is one of the hardest. Whether it’s a spouse, child, sibling, parent, or friend, learning to carry on without them can feel like too much to ask. For the last two years Martha Road Baptist Church has offered help for those who are hurting because of the loss of loved ones. The Grief Share program is biblically based and is offered exclusively through churches. The program is non-denominational and open to people of all faiths or no faith at all.
Grief Share is a 13-week program designed specifically for people who have lost a loved one through death. It consists of instructional videos, a workbook with readings and exercises, and group sessions. Grief Share is facilitated and led by people who understand because they have also grieved the death of a loved one. The $30 workbook is the only expense and participants are encouraged to participate as much as they would like at no additional cost.
The Martha Road Baptist Church Grief Share program will meet on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM beginning August 28th, in Room 117 at Martha Road Baptist Church. To register text the word “GRIEF” to 580-482-3377 or call 580-482-3377 Ext. 104.

VBS 2024
Every day, our kids are bombarded with questions: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible?
At this VBS, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call.
These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life.
Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey!

Bio:
Music has taken Ben Fuller’s life and made it into something he never would have dreamed. Ben grew up in Southern Vermont on his family dairy farm working along-side his father. He'd pass the time by singing to old classic country tunes as he witnessed first-hand the hard work and dedication it took to run a farm. The songs never stopped and somewhere between the farm and college, he picked up a guitar and never looked back.
Due to generations of hurt in his family, Ben struggled with certain aspects of growing up and turned to cocaine and alcohol at a young age. In 2015, Ben got involved in a devastating drug-fueled relationship which led him to understand better, the other side of addiction. In addition, come 2017, he abruptly lost his best friend to a heroin overdose and his entire outlook on life shifted.
Motivated to change, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career as a country singer in late 2018. A family Ben was close with invited him to church one Sunday and as he walked the halls into the auditorium filled with 3,000 people, he knew one day he would sing "that kind of music" for the rest of his life. Falling face first into his new-found relationship with Jesus, he began writing with a burning desire to share what God did to turn his life around. Today, Ben lives completely sober, while sharing his story filled with hope, mercy and grace. By turning his testimony into songs, he has been rejuvenated with a new passion and mission; to share his story with the world and all who are ready to listen.
