God created the world, and that includes you — He declared everything He made to be good. In the beginning, God and Adam and Eve were together. Their connection to God gave them meaning and purpose.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good indeed. - Genesis 1:31
The world did not remain good though, sin entered God’s creation through Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey God. Like Adam and Eve, we all choose to disobey God. The punishment for that sin is separation from God in a place called Hell.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death… - Romans 6:23a
God did not leave us to face the punishment of our choices alone. Jesus Christ came and lived a perfect life, died a painful death on the cross, and after three days was resurrected from the dead.
But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23b
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.- Romans 5:8
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6
Repent, turn from your sins, and believe that Jesus Christ’s death on the cross is an acceptable sacrifice for your rebellion to God. Believe that Jesus was raised from the dead and is now seated on the right hand of God the Father. God will restore His relationship with us and seal that relationship by placing the Spirit within us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. - Romans 10:9-10
